Italian Language Courses
ALL APPOINTMENTS MUST BE SCHEDULED no later than 15 days prior the scheduled date of departure.
- 1. Long term visa application form (National D) – (PLEASE FILL ELECTRONICALLY THEN PRINT IT)
- 2. One recent passport size photo (professionally taken).
- 3. Passport (valid at least 90 days beyond the inteded stay in Italy) Original and photocopy of the main page.
- 4. Copy of one of the following: driver’s license, state ID, utility bill or lease agreement.
- 5. Enrollement Letter filled out from the Institution in Italy addressed to the Visa Office of the Italian Consulate in Boston, confirming the enrollment of the student, program datesduration, weekly hours of attendance (minimum 20 hours a week).
IMPORTANT: The italian course level must be of at least level B1. This requirement is waived if the student is enrolled in the following “CLIQ” institutions:
- Universita’ degli Studi di Siena;
- Universita’ degli Studi di Roma Tre;
- Universita degli Studi di Perugia;
- Societa’ Dante Alighieri.
- 6. Applicant must provide the last month of a US bank statement. (not just the balance). Availability of funds must be at least 30$ per day for the entire duration of the program. Only in case of insufficient funds the household’s last month statement can be provided (please see n.10);
- 7. Accomodations in Italy if not specified in the enrollment letter;
- 8. Round trip flight reservations from the U.S to the Schengen Area and departure from Schengen area;
- 9. Proof of medical insurance covering the entire period of stay in Italy to be issued by an insurance company based in the US or European Union – Insurance policies issued by other countries will not be accepted. Print before coming to the appointment. The letter from your insurance company must state that you will be covered for any medical evacuation, and repatriation of remains for at least 30,000 Euro during your stay in the Schengen area. Insurances that offer only reimbursements will NOT be accepted.
- 10. Affidavit of Support. If the applicant doesn’t have own funds because supported by the parents, one or both parents must submit an affidavit of support with the bank statement (see Proof of financial means). The Affidavit must notarized by a Notary Public.
