Information About your Assistantship:
Your graduate assistantship agreement states that tuition and partial fee waivers post to student billing accounts after the add/drop deadlines to accommodate enrollment changes. To stay informed about your assistantship, we encourage you to follow these steps:
The majority of graduate assistantships are available through academic programs. Some administrative offices on campus hire graduate assistants as well. Information is available about these administrative graduate assistantships.
International master’s degree students receive out-of-state tuition assistance their first two years of enrollment, while international doctoral students receive out-of-state tuition assistance their first three years of enrollment. Nonresident graduate assistants who are U.S. citizens receive out-of-state tuition assistance only their first year of enrollment and need to apply for residency before the end of the first year. If a graduate assistant does not establish residency before starting the second year of graduate study, the assistantship covers only in-state tuition, and the student is responsible for the difference between resident and nonresident tuition.
